This is a rewarding position where you will combine assessment, mentoring, coaching and employer engagement to support apprentices working towards their electrical apprenticeship and NVQ qualifications. The Role
As an Electrical Training Officer / Electrical Assessor, you will manage a caseload of electrical apprentices across the Manchester and Merseyside region, supporting them throughout their apprenticeship journey.
You will play a key role in ensuring apprentices remain engaged, progress successfully and achieve their End Point Assessment (EPA).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting electrical apprentices through regular workplace visits, coaching sessions and progress reviews
  • Carrying out work-based assessments against apprenticeship standards and NVQ criteria
  • Providing clear and constructive feedback to help apprentices develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours
  • Working closely with employers to ensure apprentices receive the right workplace experience and training opportunities
  • Monitoring apprentice progress and implementing interventions where learners may be at risk of falling behind
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, reviews and learner progression
  • Supporting apprentices in preparing for their End Point Assessment
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, Prevent, equality & diversity and health & safety requirements
  • Completing employer vetting and workplace suitability checks
  • Promoting positive attitudes towards learning, professionalism and career development
  • Representing the organisation at careers events, school visits and industry engagement activities
  • Maintaining your own continuous professional development (CPD) and staying up to date with industry standards
