I’m working with an independent training provider (not FE) who are looking to bring in a Gas & Renewables Trainer to support delivery at their centre in Lutterworth.

The role

• Deliver gas and renewables training to apprentices and adult learners
• Teaching areas including:
  • Domestic gas and heating systems
  • Air source heat pumps (installation, maintenance, fault finding)
  • Low carbon / energy-efficient heating systems
  • Energy efficiency (EE1) and hot water systems
• Deliver a mix of apprenticeship programmes (e.g. low carbon heating) and short courses (renewables, ACS, upskilling, renewals)
• Supporting learners through training, reviews and overall progression
• Mix of practical workshop delivery and classroom-based learning

What they’re looking for

• Strong plumbing / gas background
• Exposure to renewables (heat pumps, low carbon systems) beneficial
• Open to tutors, trainers, lecturers or engineers looking to move into teaching
• Teaching / assessing qualifications beneficial but not essential
