I’m working with a training provider looking to recruit a Vehicle Mechanics Trainer to join their Automotive team near Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician or Mechanic looking to move off the tools and into a training role, as well as existing trainers looking for a new opportunity.

No previous teaching experience is required, with full training and funded teaching and assessing qualifications provided.

The Role

• Deliver Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance training to apprentices.
• Lead practical workshop sessions alongside classroom-based theory.
• Support and mentor learners as they develop their technical skills and knowledge.
• Monitor learner progress and help apprentices achieve their qualifications.

What’s on Offer

• £43,000 starting salary, increasing once teaching qualifications are achieved.
• Fully funded teaching and assessing qualifications.
• Full support transitioning from industry into education.
• Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm working hours.
• Modern, well-equipped automotive workshops.
• Permanent, year-round position (not term-time only).

What They’re Looking For
