About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vocational Studies Teacher specialising in Construction. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
 
The role focuses on engaging and re-engaging students through a personalised and supportive learning environment, helping them achieve positive outcomes and prepare for life beyond education.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils with SEND, trauma backgrounds, and behavioural challenges
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies
• Promote social, emotional, and academic development using therapeutic approaches
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff

Requirements

• Experience teaching vocational subjects, ideally Construction
• Teaching or Assessor Qualification
• Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in specialist settings
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning
• Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable with a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards
