My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team, based South of Warrington.  

Please note this is role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

About the Role:

As the Trust Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial management across their academies. You will collaborate with finance colleagues, budget holders, and senior management to drive robust financial controls, insightful reporting, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Support year-end audits and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance practices.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, providing technical advice and guidance.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• A collaborative and professional communicator with a proactive mindset.
