An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Recruitment Consultant within a dynamic and fast-growing national training provider. Role Overview The Recruitment Consultant will play a key role in managing client relationships, generating high-quality candidates, and driving business development. Working within the recruitment team, this position focuses on both permanent & contract placements (80%) and apprenticeship starts (20%).
Supported by client development, marketing, and apprenticeship resourcing teams, the role involves the full recruitment lifecycle – from creating new business opportunities to maintaining strong partnerships with existing clients. The successful candidate will use intelligent marketing, face-to-face meetings, and business development calls to generate success.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve set activity and billing targets while delivering on agreed objectives
  • Generate new business through proactive sales activity
  • Source and place high-quality candidates in permanent, contract, and apprenticeship roles
  • Manage and nurture client relationships to the highest standard
  • Cross-sell a full range of recruitment and training solutions
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company professionally
  • Maintain accurate records and management information on CRM systems
  • Support business growth through tendering and pitching for new contracts
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures
  • Provide mentorship and support to colleagues as needed

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in recruitment, business development, or account management
  • High levels of pace, passion, and persuasion
  • Commercially astute with a solutions-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Ability to manage relationships with a wide range of clients professionally
  • Highly professional, well-presented, and confident in delivering first-class service
  • Motivational and results-driven, with a determination to succeed
  • Adaptable to change and supportive of business growth initiatives
  • Experience leading and mentoring colleagues (for senior roles)
