Electrical Training Officer – Oxford
Home-based with travel around the Oxfordshire region
£36,500 – £38,300 (depending on experience)
Are you a qualified electrician looking to step away from the tools and into a role where you can shape the future of the trade?
We’re recruiting for an Electrical Training Officer on behalf of a well-established training provider. This role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience who wants to support and guide the next generation of electricians – no prior training experience is required, full support and development will be provided.
What does the role involve?
- Supporting apprentices through their training journeys, providing on-site reviews and guidance.
- Coaching and mentoring learners in line with national occupational standards.
- Giving feedback, setting achievable learning targets, and preparing apprentices for final assessments.
- Liaising with employers, reviewing workplace progress, and ensuring apprentices are on the right pathway.
- Monitoring learner progress and stepping in early to help anyone at risk of falling behind.
- Managing your own caseload across the region and building strong relationships with learners and employers.
Region:
You’ll be based from home and will visit apprentices and employers throughout Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
What you need:
- A Level 3 Electrical qualification (NVQ or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience working as an electrician
- 18th Edition (or willingness to complete)
- A full UK driving licence
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Assessor or teaching qualifications (e.g. TAQA, A1, D32/33)
- Inspection & Testing (2391)
- Health & Safety (IOSH Managing Safely)
