Our client is a high-performing apprenticeship training provider with a rapidly growing commercial training offer, and a clear commitment to continuous improvement.
Following significant investment in systems and infrastructure, they are now seeking a Head of Operations & Quality to lead their next phase of growth and excellence.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational and quality agenda across all areas of the organisation (Apps & Commercial Training)
This is a leadership opportunity that blends strategic oversight with hands-on delivery management- ensuring the business continues to meet (and exceed) OFSTED expectations while advancing its digital, commercial, and apprenticeship ambitions.
You’ll lead a team of three Managers and around 40 Coaches & Tutors indirectly
The team is strong, committed, and ready for the next level of leadership to help them deliver outstanding learner and employer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as OFSTED Nominee (or shadow nominee) and lead all inspection readiness activity.
- Ensure compliance and excellence across apprenticeships and commercial training provision.
- Drive digitalisation of systems and processes, embedding efficiency and innovation throughout the business.
- Oversee P&L performance, managing budgets and departmental cost control.
- Lead the organisation’s commitment to excellence in both funded and commercial learning provision.
About You
You are an experienced operations and quality leader within the training or education sector, with a proven track record of delivering funded learning programmes. You combine a deep understanding of quality & operations in apprenticeships, and commercial training
You’ll bring:
- Proven operational leadership experience in a training provider or FE setting.
- Hands-on experience as an OFSTED Nominee or Shadow Nominee.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and funding.
- Demonstrable P&L management and financial control experience.
- A passion for innovation, digital transformation, and educational excellence.
